Cyril Haller
Cyril completed his undergraduate studies in Biology with French for Science at Imperial College London in 2023, including a year abroad at the Weber lab in McGill where he investigated RNAP condensates in E. coli. His interest in phase separation grew from there, leading him to his current project focusing on reconstituting rotavirus replication factories. Through this, he hopes to shed light on the material properties of viral condensates, including how these environments restructure and select for their genomic RNA. If he’s not in the lab, Cyril can often be found at the sports centre next door or trying his best at baking. He is easily distracted by offers of a cup of coffee.
